COVID-19 Procedures

At this time, we are still requiring all clients to wear a mask during their services.

We will be masked during the entirety of your service as well. Thank you for your understanding.

The salon is a "high contact" environment with obvious potential risks. We have established the following safeguards to manage risk and limit potential exposure.

Please be advised that at this time we will be making ZERO exceptions to the following information.
1. Appointments will be scheduled by email and telephone and confirmed by the salon. We accommodate as many clients as prudent and possible. Our email is salon1560fairfield@gmail.com and phone number is (203) 259-1560.
2. Effective immediately, we require clients with appointments to call the salon upon arrival to check-in and remain outside or in their vehicles. We will contact you to enter.
3. All staff will be wearing and utilizing masks.
4. We will be taking temperatures upon entry and asking prescribed questions before beginning each service.
5. We ask that haircut clients come in with freshly washed, product free hair.
6. When shampooing is necessary, client will keep their face comfortably covered at the shampoo bowl.
7. In an effort to keep costs as low as possible, we ask that each client brings their own mask and wears it for the duration of the service and while in the salon.
8. We will have masks on sale for $10 (subject to availability).
9. Kindly do not dispose of your mask in the salon.
10. We will not allow anyone in our waiting area.
11. We can no longer allow clients to change into smocks.
12. We respectfully ask that clients do not wear jackets, coats, or sweaters or bring handbags, backpacks and bags into the salon.
13. The only items permitted will be cellphone and wallet which we require to remain on your person at all times.
14. Contactless payment is most appreciated. Payment can be made through PayPal or credit card. We are working on implementing Apple Pay as well.
15. We will be practicing the CDC Guidelines for social distancing while each stylist is working with each client.
16. At this time, we are not performing blowdry services.
17. Unfortunately, we cannot perform weekly blowouts or blowouts in conjunction with haircuts, single process colors or highlighting services.
18. We are not able to provide a drying station for self-service drying.
19. At this time, we are unable to provide services for children who require adult supervision. We are allowed ONLY one client per stylist and cannot have guests congregate anywhere in the salon. Unfortunately, if a child is unable to be dropped off for their service without adult supervision, we must defer their appointment.
20. Appointments MUST be made.
21. We will offer extended hours and split shifts as needed and on a case-by-case basis.
22. Our entire team has received a Barbicide certification which has the new set of guidelines for maintaining a germ-free environment.
23. We will NOT be adding a mandatory surcharge to cover cleaning costs and PPE at this time. We gladly welcome any client wishing to donate to offset the increased expenses.
24. With all the new changes and adjustments, we appreciate your continued support and understanding.
25. Please be patient as we adjust to the new and extended regulations.
26. We are observing the protocols established by ReOpenCT. This plan is intentional and allows for "sufficient time for learning, adoption of behaviors, and ultimately the achievement of improved health..."
27. Salon 1560 has always maintained the highest standards for sanitation. Although there was no way to prepare for this pandemic, we intend to minimize its impact on our guests and business.
28. All rules and regulations are subject to change as the CDC and Department of Health deem necessary.
